Plans & Course Caps
Every organization is on one of six plans. A plan decides two things: which ready-made platform courses your members get, and how many courses your own team may author.
The six plans
Platform courses vs. your own
These are two genuinely different things, and the interface keeps them apart everywhere.
Platform courses
Authored centrally by Intermediate Data Systems and shown to every organization whose plan includes that category. You don’t get a copy — you get the live course, so an improvement made centrally reaches your members immediately with nothing to re-import. They appear read-only in a Platform Courses list at the bottom of your Courses page, and carry a MY1SERVICE OFFICIAL badge in your members’ catalog.
They don’t count against your authoring cap, and you can’t edit them.
Your own courses
Built by your instructors and admins, visible only inside your organization, and counted against the cap. These are what Courses covers.
How the cap is resolved
A cap can come from either of two places. Normally it’s just the plan’s default from the table above. A master admin can also set an explicit per-organization override, which wins — so an organization on a 3-course plan can be given 10 without moving plan.
On the master Tenants table an inherited value is shown as, for example, 3 (plan default), whereas an override shows the bare number. Clearing the override field returns the organization to its plan default. See Tenants.
Seeing your own plan
Admins can read the plan’s effect on Reporting, which separates Self-authored courses from Platform courses so you can see what your plan is contributing at a glance. See Reporting.
