Results & Certificates

Understanding your scores, what it means to pass a course, and how to access your certificate.

Your course score

After you finish a course, My1Service calculates your score based on:

  • Your answers to multiple-choice questions
  • Your answers to free-text questions (once the instructor grades them)
  • Optional activities or discussions (if the instructor set them up)
  • Weighted by the instructor's grading rules

Your score is displayed as a percentage and sometimes as a letter grade (A, B, C, etc.), depending on your organization's settings.

Pass marks and failing

Your instructor sets a pass mark for each course — usually 70%, but it varies. If you score at or above the pass mark, you've passed and earn a certificate. If you score below it, you haven't passed.

Failing doesn't lock you out
If you don't pass, ask your instructor if you can retake the course. Many instructors allow unlimited attempts so you can improve your score.

Free-text grading delays

If a course includes free-text questions, your score might not be final immediately. Here's why:

  • Multiple-choice questions are auto-graded instantly
  • Free-text questions must be graded by the instructor — it takes a few days, sometimes longer if there are many students
  • Once the instructor grades them, your final score updates and your certificate is generated (if you passed)

You'll see a Pending Grading badge on your course card until the instructor completes grading.

Viewing your results

After you finish a course, click on it in My Courses to see your detailed results:

  • Your final score and grade
  • A breakdown of points by question or section
  • Your answers to each question
  • Feedback or notes from the instructor (if they added them)
  • Your pass/fail status

Certificates

When you pass a course, a certificate is generated automatically. It includes:

  • Your name
  • The course title
  • The date you completed it
  • Your final score (optional — the organization decides)
  • The organization's logo and branding
  • An optional security code to verify authenticity

Downloading your certificate

Once a course is completed and passed, your certificate is ready to download:

  • Go to My Courses and find the completed course
  • Click the course card to view your results
  • Look for the Download Certificate button
  • The certificate downloads as a PDF to your computer
Keep your PDF safe
Save your certificate somewhere safe — your computer, cloud storage, or printed. It's yours to keep and share.

Viewing all your certificates

Your profile or a dedicated Certificates page (depending on your organization) shows all certificates you've earned across all courses. You can download any of them anytime.

Retaking a course to improve your score

If you didn't pass, or you want to improve a passing score, you might be able to retake the course:

  • Check if your instructor allows retakes (it's usually in the course description)
  • If retakes are allowed, rejoin the course from your dashboard
  • Work through it again from the beginning
  • Your new score replaces your old one (in most cases — some instructors keep both)
Retakes are optional, not automatic
Your instructor controls whether retakes are available. If the course doesn't allow them, you won't be able to rejoin it after completing it once.

Transcripts

Your organization might provide transcripts or completion records. Contact your admin to request an official transcript of all courses you've completed, your scores, and your certificates.

Sharing your results

Your scores and certificates are private by default. You decide who sees them. If you want to share your certificate with an employer or client, download the PDF and share it directly — no one else can access it unless you give them the file.

Verify your certificate
If your certificate includes a security code or QR code, others can scan it to verify its authenticity. This is helpful when sharing with employers or professional bodies.
