Organizations
Each organization using My1Service has its own branded space, with its own address, members, courses, and reporting.
What is an organization?
An organization is a self-contained instance of My1Service. It might be a TVET college, a company department, or a nonprofit. Your organization is yours alone — your members only see your courses, your branding, and your data. No one else can see or touch any of it.
Every organization gets:
- A unique subdomain (e.g.,
orbit-tvet-college.my1service.com) - Your own logo and primary brand colour, visible everywhere
- Your own roster of members, instructors, and admins
- Your own courses — a mix of platform-wide courses and your own custom content
- Your own completion and certificate records
- Reporting on your own members and usage
Registering your organization
To set up an organization, go to register-organization on the main site.
- Choose a subdomain — the address you'll use to sign in every day. The subdomain becomes part of your organization's identity, so pick something you'll want to keep.
- Enter your organization name and your own email address (which becomes your account).
- Upload your logo and pick your primary colour. These appear everywhere — the header, links, buttons, and certificates.
- You’re done. You land in your new organization's dashboard as an admin, and the login page is ready for other people to join.
Inviting people to join
Once your organization exists, admins and instructors can invite members, instructors, and other admins. See Invite Team Members for the full process.
Self-registration (optional)
If your organization allows it, members can sign themselves up from the login page without an invite. The admin controls this setting in Settings.
When self-registration is on, anyone with your organization's address can:
- Click Create now on the login page
- Enter their email and choose a password
- Land in the dashboard as a member, ready to browse and join courses
Changing your organization's details
Admins can update the organization's logo, brand colour, and name anytime in Settings. Changes take effect immediately across the whole app.
Forgotten which organization you belong to?
If you lose track of your organization's address, go to find-organization on the main site. Enter the email you signed up with, and you’ll be pointed back to the right subdomain.
